Written by News Team

The MY25 Kia Carens facelift has been spied undergoing extensive road testing, hinting at a significant update for the popular MPV. Spotted under heavy camouflage on Indian roads, the facelifted Carens is set to bring a host of design and feature enhancements.

Design and Exterior Updates

The spy shots reveal that the MY25 Kia Carens will sport a redesigned front fascia, featuring a new LED headlamp cluster connected by a sleek LED DRL strip, reminiscent of the design elements seen on the facelifted Sonet and Seltos. The side profile remains largely unchanged, maintaining the MPV’s characteristic silhouette, but with updated dual-tone alloy wheels that add a sportier touch. At the rear, the Carens will continue to feature a connected light setup, with new styling elements and a restyled bumper enhancing its modern look.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Carens is expected to retain its feature-rich environment, with additions that elevate comfort and convenience. The facelifted model is likely to include a 360-degree camera system and Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) such as blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The interior will continue to offer premium features like ventilated seats, a Bose sound system, an air purifier, a sunroof, ambient lighting, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen paired with a digital driver’s display.

Powertrain Options

The MY25 Kia Carens will likely retain its current powertrain options, which include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. These engines are paired with various transmission options, including a 6-speed manual, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Additionally, an electric variant of the Carens is expected to debut alongside the facelifted model, marking Kia’s foray into the electric MPV segment.

Market Position and Competition

Upon its launch, the facelifted Carens will continue to compete in the MPV segment against rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki XL6.
