MY25 Hyundai Alcazar facelift confirmed with 2 engine options & Level 2 ADAS

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) is set to launch the bold new Hyundai Alcazar on September 9, 2024. As the launch date closes in, HMIL is revealing new details of the upcoming SUV from time to time. This time around, we have more details of the powertrain.

New Alcazar Powertrains

The bold new Hyundai Alcazar will be available with two engine options designed to cater to different driving preferences:

• 1.5-liter Turbo GDi Petrol Engine: This powerful engine generates 117.5 kW (160 PS) of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque. It comes with the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
• 1.5-liter U2 CRDi Diesel Engine: Known for its reliability and efficiency, this diesel engine delivers 85 kW (116 PS) of maximum power and 250 Nm of torque. It is available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions, offering a balanced mix of performance and fuel efficiency.

To further enhance the driving experience, the Alcazar is equipped with multiple drive modes (Normal, Eco, and Sport) and traction modes (Snow, Mud, and Sand), along with features like paddle shifters and Idle Stop and Go (ISG).

Safety Features

The new Alcazar comes packed with an impressive array of over 70 safety features, including 40 standard ones. The SUV is equipped with Hyundai’s SmartSense Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a best-in-segment offering that includes 19 features designed to enhance driving safety, convenience, and parking ease.

Key ADAS features include:

• Smart Cruise Control
• Surround View Monitor
• Blind Spot View Monitor
• Forward Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist
• Lane Keeping Assist
• Driver Attention Warning

Standard safety features include six airbags, Hill-Start Assist Control, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, and all four disc brakes. The SUV also features a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (Highline) and safety enhancements such as a Digital Key, Hill Descent Control, front parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and an Electro Chromic inside rearview mirror.

With its powerful engine options, extensive safety features, and advanced technologies, the Alcazar is poised to set new standards in the SUV segment.
