Tata Motors has introduced the Dark series across its SUV lineup. The iconic #DARK avatar now graces the new Nexon.ev, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari models.
The Dark series, initially introduced with the Harrier in 2019 and extended across the portfolio in 2021, has garnered widespread acclaim for its stylish design and premium appeal. The series features a signature #DARK mascot and dark exterior treatment, distinguishing it from other vehicles in its segment.
The Dark editions of the Nexon and Nexon.EV are characterized by their all-black exterior design, featuring black trim all around and blacked-out alloy wheels. The interior also follows the dark theme with black leatherette seats and #DARK badges embroidered on the headrests.
The Tata Nexon Dark edition is priced from INR 11.45 lakh onwards, while the Nexon EV Dark starts at INR 19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Nexon Dark is available in four variants – Creative, Creative+, Creative+S, and Fearless. The Nexon.EV Dark is available in a single variant – Empowered Plus Long Range.
Both SUVs come equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Amazon Alexa and Tata Voice Assistant offering over 200 voice commands in six languages and a wireless charger.
The Nexon is available with 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm torque. The 1.5-litre diesel engine makes 113 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque . The Nexon.EV Dark (long range) uses a 40.5 kWh battery that powers a 143 BHP electric motor that delivers 215 Nm of instant torque. It has a maximum range of 465 km on a single charge.
The New Tata Harrier and Safari have also been reintroduced to the #DARK range. Like the Nexons, they too get the black treatment and #DARK badging. Prices for the new Harrier #DARK start at INR 19.99 lakh and for the Safari #DARK at INR 20.69 lakh. You can read about the detailed changes here.
