Royal Enfield’s Bobber 350 has once again been spotted testing. This time however, the bike looks to be in a production-ready guise. A new bike based on the Classic 350 is going to be launched soon. This is none other than the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber.
This is the first time that bike has been spotted sans any camouflage. Hence, we are able to see more details of the upcoming motorcycle. For starters, there is an ape hanger handlebar. This is complemented by a round headlamp and at the back there is a tyre-hugger that also houses the rear number plate, tail lamps and rear turn indicators. The headlight appears to be LED.
Royal Enfield has added a few styling elements as well. These include the circular housing of the headlamps, curved fuel tank and wire-spoke wheels. We can also note the pillion seat on this particular test mule. There is a side mounted exhaust with a slash cut design. We can also spot the white-walled tyres. However, it is not clear if these would be offered as standard on the bike as pretty much no bike maker offers these as stock tyres.
The bike could also come with dual channel ABS. Expect Royal Enfield to offer a host of accessories including alloy wheels, luggage options and other lifestyle goodies.
The engine is likely to be the Classic 350-sourced J-Platform engine. In the Classic 350, this motor develops 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm of peak torque. Royal Enfield is likely to offer a similar tune for the Bobber 350.
That said, the exact timeline of the launch in India is not yet known. Royal Enfield could be targeting an end-2023 timeline for the same. Chief competition for the bike will include the Jawa 42 Bobber amongst others. In terms of pricing, this could sit above the top-end Classic 350. This means the price could be around the INR 2 lakh mark.
