Mercedes-Benz India has launched the MY2024 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe in India. The AMG SUV comes with a starting price tag of INR 1.85 crore ex-showroom. The brand also recently updated the standard GLE introducing the long wheelbase version of the model in the Indian market close to the end of 2023. Furthermore, the German manufacturer is also bringing the GLA facelift to the Indian market.
The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe comes with minor changes to the exteriors. This includes mildly redesigned headlights and tail-lights. Also, the bumpers on the 2024 model come with minor tweaks. Apart from this, the interiors remain quite similar to the previous model. Expect, the steering wheel now gets a partial Alcantara treatment. The car also comes with 9-airbags, 360-degree camera, blind spot assist, transparent bonnet etc as standard.
Features on the GLE 53 Coupe includes additional control buttons on the steering and heated and ventilated seats. The brand also offers the SUV with Lumbar Support on the front seats. The new model also comes with a customisable heads-up display. Mercedes-AMG also offers optional features such as AMG Track Pace, Acoustic Comfort Package, and AMG High Performance Braking Package.
With the additional packages, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 can go upto a price of INR 2.25 Crore ex-showroom.
Powering the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe is a 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The engine produces 435 Hp of power and 560 Nm of torque. Additionally, the engine comes with a 48V mild-hybrid system which adds another 20 Hp and 200 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe can sprint from 0-100 km in just 5 seconds and comes with a top speed of 250kmph (Electronically Limited).
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe only rivals the Porsche Cayenne Coupe in the Indian market. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe comes with a price tag of INR 1.42 Crore ex-showroom.
