Hyundai recently launched the facelift Hyundai Creta which garnered more than 51,000 booking in the last month. Overall the brand has sold more than a Million Hyundai Creta’s in the Indian market. This makes the Hyundai Creta a much-popular SUV in the Indian market. The pre-facelift Hyundai Creta also spawned the three-version of the SUV, christened – Alcazar in the Indian market. In its facelift avatar we also expect the same, and spy shots of the Alcazar which is known as the Grand Creta in the international market have emerged on the internet.
Spyshots from Korea reveal that the rear section of the Alcazar will be completely different from the Creta SUV. Obviously, the tail section will be longer to accommodate the extra row of seats which is likely to be spacious enough for two medium adults. But, the tail lamps signatures as well as the tailgate will also be completely new and distinctive.
Spyshots reveal that the taillamps are likely to be a vertically stacked L-shaped unit which will help the Alcazar be easily identifiable from the rear. Also, expect connected LED light signatures as well as some smoked effects on the taillamps. The 7-seater SUV is also likely to come with a tailgate mounted spoiler and high stop lamps. Spyshots also reveal a twin tipped exhaust.
On the inside, the Alcazar is likely to come with features similar to the new Creta. However, the brand is likely to make distinguishable changes to the upholstery, dashboard and centre console. But the curvilinear 10.25-inch infotainment system and the digital driver’s display is likely to remain the same. The three-row SUV is also likely to come with a 6-seater version with Captain seats. However, we hope Hyundai offers ventilated seats in the second row as well. Hyundai is likely to offer the Alcazar with a 1.5-litre Diesel engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
