Written by Kanad Kalasur

Honda has unveiled the 2024 iteration of its sub-500cc neo-retro roadster motorcycle, the CB300R. The Japanese carmaker has decided to update the colour offerings on this entry-level premium street bike. In the US market, the bikes are expected to go on sale with these paint schemes soon. The new colours are Matte Black Metallic and the more stand-out Pearl Dusk Yellow. That said, in India, the bike continues to be offered in Pearl Spartan Red and Matte Steel Black. It remains to be seen if the company offers these in our local market.

That said, there are no other updates to the bike for 2024. The Honda CB300R continues with a circular headlamp, an engine cowl, split seats and a single side exhaust.

No changes in the mechanicals

The MY24 Honda CB300R retains the 286cc single cylinder liquid cooled motor. It is now updated to meet the latest emission compliance norms. The engine develops 30.7 PS and 27.5 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

Other hardware on the bike includes upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, petal-type disc brakes, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The Dunlop tyres measure 110/70R-17-section front and 150/60R-17-section rear. The CB300R utilises a Diamond type frame with a seat height of 801 mm and 157 mm of ground clearance. Along with a 9.7-liter fuel tank, the bike sports 41mm, inverted front forks, and a 7-step adjustable rear monoshock.

Additionally, the bike sports an Assist and Slipper Clutch and an LCD Multi-Function display with a Gear Position Indicator. The bike’s instrument panel also includes a Side Stand Indicator with an Engine Inhibitor and a fully-digital liquid crystal meter.

MY24 Honda CB300R Launch in India?

In India, we already have the CB300R on sale at INR 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The new colours could be offered later this year with a slight premium. Honda sells this bike to new customers via their premium BigWing & BigWing Topline dealerships across India.
