The design patent for the MY24 Hero MotoCorp Destini 125 has been leaked online, offering a glimpse into the upcoming model’s aesthetic and functional enhancements. The leaked images reveal a blend of modern and retro styling elements, setting the stage for a refreshed look.
The new Destini 125 features a retro-inspired flat side panel and a protruding taillight assembly, which are expected to give the scooter a distinctive appearance. The front apron has been redesigned to include a new LED headlamp and copper accents. These design changes are part of Hero MotoCorp’s strategy to position the Destini 125 as a stylish yet practical option in the competitive 125cc scooter segment.
The leaked patent images also suggest that the new Destini 125 will come with a stepped seat for a sporty look, a redesigned pillion backrest, and sleeker rear turn indicators. Additionally, the scooter is expected to feature new alloy wheels and, depending on the variant, a front disc brake.
Mechanically, the MY24 Destini 125 is likely to retain the same 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that powers the current model. This engine produces 9bhp at 7,000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5,500rpm, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. While the powertrain remains unchanged, the updated design and potential feature upgrades are expected to enhance the scooter’s appeal.
Hero MotoCorp is likely to launch the new Destini 125 around the festive season, with an expected price range of INR 80,000 to INR 85,000 (ex-showroom). The updated model will compete with other popular 125cc scooters like the Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS Jupiter 125, aiming to carve out a significant share in the market.
