BMW Motorrad has recently updated its G 310 GS adventure-tourer motorcycle. The motorcycle is now available in a new colour option. The company has decided to offer this model in the attractive Racing Red colour. As part of this update, the previous Kalamata Dark Gold Metallic paint theme has been discontinued.
The new paint theme brings a vibrant red colour to various parts of the motorcycle. This includes the ADV-style front beak, fuel tank top, and chassis. It’s worth noting that the overall styling of the 2024 model remains unchanged. Thus featuring elements such as a single-pod headlight, fly-screen, semi-fairing, step-up seat, side-slung exhaust, and a luggage rack. The hardware components also carry over from the previous version. The 2024 BMW G 310 GS retains its upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, and disc brakes on both wheels. Additionally, the motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear five-spoke alloy wheels equipped with tubeless tires.
Under the hood, the mechanical specifications remain the same. The motorcycle features a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine comes with a dual-overhead-camshaft and four-valve setup. The engine comes paired with a six-speed gearbox, delivering a maximum power output of 33.5 BHP at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 7,500rpm. BMW Motorrad claims that the G 310 GS can achieve a top speed of 143kmph. Meanwhile, it can maintain a fuel efficiency of 28.5kmpl. Furthermore, this motorcycle complies with E20 fuel requirements.
Although specific details regarding the official launch in India have yet to be available. But sources suggest that the updated 2024 G 310 GS model will become available for purchase at BMW Motorrad showrooms in India by the end of this month. Once launched, it will take on the KTM 390 Adventure and likes.
