MY23 Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid (Disc) launched at INR 89,530

Yamaha has announced a range of updates to its scooter offering in India. Amongst these, the 2023 Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid (Disc) is now available at a starting price of INR 89,530. This scooter now gets an all-new Dark Matt Blue colour while the company is offering new graphics on its existing colour options of Matt Red, Metallic Black and Cyan Blue.

What’s new in the MY23 Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid (Disc)?

For starters, Yamaha is now offering a E20 compliant engine that is OBD2 compliant as well. This motor will deliver the same performance as before, despite being more environment friendly than before. This 125cc motor develops 8.2 PS of peak power @ 6,500 rpm and a max torque of 10.3 Nm @ 5,000 rpm. The powertrain also comes with a smart motor generator system that offers an automatic start / stop system. When the engine is running, this smart motor generator acts like an electric motor and offers additional thrust to the engine.

The 2023 Yamaha Ray ZR range also gets the latest Y-Connect App. Using the app, rider’s will be able to pair their smartphone with the scooter. This will allow smartphone alerts like calls, SMS/Email alerts and the phone’s battery to be displayed on the instrument cluster.

Yamaha Ray ZR 125 : More Details

Talking about the scooter’s design, the Yamaha Ray ZR gets a Y-shaped LED DRL light, smoked front windscreen and a digital instrument cluster amongst others. The Japanese bike maker has also equipped the scooter with generous features. These Advanced LED headlights, LED Position light, Power Assist Indicator, Multi-Function key with seat opener, and a 21-litre under-seat storage. Apart from these the brand is also offering a quiet starter system. The scooter also comes with Side Stand Engine Cut off Switch. This is now a standard and mandatory feature on all Yamaha 2 wheelers in India.
