MY23 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 revealed, will come to India

Triumph has updated the brand’s entire modern classic line-up with new names and colours. While the name of the Speed Twin 1200 remains the same, it receives a new colour option. Triumph is likely to bring the brand new Matt Baja Orange colour to the Indian market as well. However, the iconic British brand has not yet announced the launch dates for the 2023 Speed Twin 1200 in the Indian market.

Triumph’s Speed Twin 1200 is offered in three colours for the model year 2023. These include the classic Jet Black, a striking Red Hopper, and a new Matt Baja Orange colour scheme. The new colour is complemented with stylish Storm Grey and Aluminium Silver tank graphics. The Matt Baja Orange also features Matt Storm Grey side panels and a headlight cowl, along with Matt Silver Ice fork protectors. Apart from the new colour option, the Speed Twin 1200 remains mechanically unchanged. 

Speed Twin 1200 – Technical Specifications

Powering the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 is a 1200cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank angle. The 8-valve SOHC liquid-cooled engine produces 100 PS of power and 112 Nm of torque. The engine also features a multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection system and a 6-speed transmission with a wet, multi-plate torque-assist clutch.

The Triumph Speed Twin 1200 rides on 43mm USD Marzocchi forks with 120mm of travel. The bike also gets twin rear suspension units with adjustable preload that provides 120mm of travel. Braking power comes from 320mm twin discs with Brembo M50 4-piston radial monobloc callipers on the front and a 220mm disc with Nissin 2-piston floating calliper on the rear. The motorcycle also comes with ABS, an analogue tachometer and a speedometer along with a digital MID, brushed stainless steel 2 into 2 exhaust systems with twin silencers, a 14.5-litre fuel tank, tapering handlebars with bar-end mirrors and a bench-style seat.
