MY23 Tata Harrier with ADAS, bookings now open

Tata Motors has now commenced the bookings for the MY23 Harrier. The SUV now comes with a host of features including ADAS tech. This was announced by the official Tata Motor’s Twitter account.

What’s new in the 2023 Tata Harrier

Tata has not made many changes mechanically to the Harrier. But, the Indian carmaker has introduced a slew of features.

On the outside, the car now rides on two-tone 17-inch machine finished diamond cut alloys.

Coming to the insides, the SUV now gets a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 9 Speaker JBL music system, a 7-inch fully-digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charger, and more. The SUV also gets a host of safety features such as 6 Airbags, 360-degree camera and ESP with 17 functions.

The Tata Safari and Harrier Red Dark also come with 10 high-end ADAS features. These features improve the safety of passengers as well as other road users. The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) includes Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) features. Thanks to this, the car will be able to apply brakes automatically when an obstacle is detected on the road. The system will also warn the driver using audible and visual cues.

In addition to this, the ADAS comes with Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Collision Warning (RCW) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). The ADAS package also comes with Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Lane Change Alert (LCA). The Harrier and Safari also get High Beam Assist, Door Open Alert and Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR).

2023 Tata Harrier powertrain

Apart from the cosmetic and safety feature upgrades, the brand continues with the tried and tested OMEGA platform and FCA-derived Kryotec engine. Powering the Harrier and Safari is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The engine makes 170 PS and 350 Nm paired to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
