Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Looking to get the Renault Kiger? There’s some good news for you. The French carmaker has loaded the Kiger compact SUV with more features. This comes in as a part of an update starting from the top trim and making its way down to the second-from-top RXT(O) trim. Additionally, customers now can also avail of attractive benefits on the top-spec RXZ trim.

What’s New As A Part Of This Update?

The Kiger RXT(O) now benefits from 16-inch alloy wheels, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In fact, the SUV also now comes equipped with full-LED headlamps and tail-lamps that were so far available only in the RXZ trim.

The RXT(O) trim is offered with both the 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines in both manual and automatic gearbox options.

The most important takeaway is that despite the addition of new features, Renault has lowered the prices for this particular trim. Prices for the Kiger RXT(O) previously fell in the INR 8.25 lakh to 10.68 lakh bracket. But now, the prices start from INR 7.99 lakh. The RXZ trim of the Kiger currently has offers of up to INR 91,000. This includes a cash benefit of INR 10,000, corporate benefits of up to INR 12,000, loyalty benefits of up to INR 49,000 and an exchange bonus of INR 20,000.

Renault Kiger – A Brief Overview

Under the hood, the Kiger continues with its two engine options. First is the 72 HP, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. This is available with both a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. Then we also have the exciting 100 HP, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that’s available with both a 5-speed manual or a CVT transmission. Costumes can have the Kiger in a total of four trims: RXE, RXT, RXT(O) and RXZ.
