MY23 Renault Kwid, Triber & Kiger launched with ESP, HSA, TCS & TPMS as standard

Renault has launched the 2023 versions of the Kwid, Triber and Kiger in India. New for this MY23 models include BS6 Stage 2 emission norm compliance. This includes a new self-diagnostic device, which continuously monitors the emission norms of the car while in motion. The cars also get catalytic converters and oxygen sensors.

New safety features on the Renault’s in India

Coming to safety features, Renault has now equipped the cars with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). These are now standard across the 2023 Renault range. Hill Start Assist (HSA), however, is offered as standard on the 2023 Kiger and the 2023 Triber but only on select variants of 2023 Kwid.

Changes in the 2023 Variants

The 2023 Renault Kwid now comes in a new RXE variant. This one gets a 1.0-litre petrol engine and the price is set at INR 4.69 lakh. It now comes with integrated turn indicators in ORVMs, steering mounted phone and music controls amongst others.

The 2023 Renault Triber gains chrome door handles and new seat upholstery.

Current line-up of Renault cars

Renault India currently has a total of three products in India. These are the Kwid, the Triber and the Kiger. The company earlier used to sell the Duster as well. But given its low sales and the product’s age, Renault pulled the plug. But there are rumours that the new Renault Duster would make its Indian debut soon. That said, it might do so with 7 seats this time. Kiger managed to revive Renault’s stake in the Indian SUV market and continues to sell in good numbers. Meanwhile, Kwid and Triber too are posting great numbers in their respective segments. Also, the company could soon bring a slew of new models in the coming years.
