MY23 Mahindra XUV400 SUV priced at INR 19.19 lakh

Mahindra has updated the top-end EL trim of the XUV400 electric SUV with a bunch of additional features. The updated MY24 EL variant of the Mahindra XUV400 SUV is priced from INR 19.19 lakh (ex-showroom).

What’s new in the MY23 Mahindra XUV400 SUV?

The EL trim of the XUV400 is now priced between INR 19.19-19.39 lakh. With this, the car now gets features like cruise control, front fog lamps and two tweeters. Additional features like Electronic Stability Program (ESP), hill hold assist and auto dimming IRVM are also added. Lastly, the Mahindra XUV400 will also get a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Furthermore, there are also plans to offer a panoramic sunroof across its XUV range. Hence, we can also expect the XUV400 to get this popular feature. However, it might arrive first on the XUV300 followed by the electric XUV400. The XUV400 facelift might get the sunroof option when it launches sometime in 2025.

Powertrain of the Mahindra XUV400

The Mahindra XUV400 comes with an electric motor good for 148 BHP and 310 Nm of torque. There are two battery options. The EC trim comes with a 34.5 kWh battery pack and EL with a larger 39.4 kWh unit. These are claimed to offer 375 and 456 km range on a single charge respectively (MIDC cycle).

Mahindra claims that the XUV400 has the fastest acceleration in its segment, out numbering even the Nexon EV. The electric SUV can go from 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds with a top speed of 150 kmph. The electric SUV is available in five colours with a standard warranty of 3 years/unlimited kms, plus an 8-year/160k km warranty for the battery and motor.

Mahindra XUV400 : More Details

The XUV400 launched on January 16th retail with a starting price of INR 15.99 lakh. Mahindra has targets to deliver over 20k units within a year of the launch. The first deliveries will begin in March for the XUV400 EL. Meanwhile, during the upcoming Diwali season, the XUV400 EC will roll out. The pricing is introductory, as is the case with all new Mahindra vehicles. Bookings and test drives are currently available across 34 dealerships across the country. The increasingly high bookings for the XUV400 would put some questions on Tata Motors a bit. Nexon EV and Nexon EV Pro Max are currently the hottest-selling electric vehicles cars in the country.
