MY23 KTM 200 Duke will get LED headlamp

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Big update from the house of KTM India. As per reports, KTM will retail the new KTM 200 Duke LED headlight alongside the halogen headlight model.

KTM Duke 200 – The Story Till Now

As we know, KTM started its operations in India back in 2012 with the 200 Duke. Fast forward to 2023 and the 200 Duke is one of the best-selling KTM. Now in its new-gen avatar, the motorcycle benefits from the same design and body as its elder 250 Duke and 390 Duke. But it has a few features. Thus, KTM is bringing the 200 Duke one step closer to its elder siblings by equipping it with LED headlights. This is the same unit we see on the 250 Duke and 390 Duke. KTM is currently keeping the halogen headlight version on sale as well. Thus, making LED headlights an option.

Both Halogen And LED Headlight Variants Are To Remain On Sale Together

We are aware that the Halogen headlight unit continues to retail with version 200 Duke and 125 Duke. Until now, LED headlights were only available with 390 Duke and 250 Duke. The advantage of this LED headlight unit is immense. It is far brighter and delivers better spread and intensity than halogen ones. KTM 200 Duke LED headlight edition will retail with a price tag of INR 1.97 lakh (ex-sh) instead of almost INR 1.93 lakh (ex-sh) for the 200 Duke with halogen headlights. This makes the LED headlight equipped variant dearer by INR 4,000 (ex-sh) than the halogen headlight variant. Speaking of variants, we know that KTM will retail both LED and halogen headlight variants alongside each other. Thus,  customers aren’t forced to opt for a costlier option.

No Other Changes

We understand that KTM has not bundled any other feature additions to this INR 4,000 increment. The same motorcycle is the same as before mechanically. Thus it continues with the same 199.5cc single-cylinder engine with 24.67 BHP of power and 19.3 Nm of torque. Other key features include a 6-speed gearbox, WP Apex 43 mm USD front forks, WP Apex rear mono-shock, liquid cooling setup, 4-pot front calliper, dual channel ABS, 17” alloy wheels with 110-section front and 150-section rear tyre and more.
