We know that Kia has been working on the facelift version of the Seltos. The car is expected to make its India debut on 4 July 2023. That said, new spy images gave surfaced online that reveal the dual zone climate control module. The exterior of the car has already been spotted multiple times.
What’s new in the 2023 Kia Seltos?
The images reveal the updated HVAC control unit. This also has the media control buttons. We can also see that the SUV will get a dual zone climate control. This would make the Seltos the first-in-class to offer this feature.
Compared to the current car on sale, the new Seltos gets buttons for temperature control instead of the dial. This could be done for space optimization. Furthermore, the overall size of the control module is now more compact. Alongside, Kia has also updated the hazard light button between the two AC vents.
One more improvement is the physical media buttons. The outgoing Seltos has touch-based control below the touchscreen. These physical controls are much better than touch controls as they do not require the driver to take his eyes off the road.
Other updates on the 2023 Kia Seltos
Kia is also likely to offer features like a panoramic sunroof, ADAS features and more. The new Seltos will also have six airbags and a host of other safety features like hill-assist control and vehicle stability control as standard across the range.
On the outside, the car will come with a new design alloys, as well as some other cosmetic updates.
Powertrain will consist of a 1.5-litre petrol engine rated at 115 HP along with the 1.5-litre diesel good for 116 HP. A 1.5-litre turbo petrol is also rumoured to be offered. This unit will make 160 HP.
