Hyundai has launched the i20 facelift in India. The car comes with updates on both the outside and the inside. The Korean carmaker has set the prices for this car from INR. 6.99 lakh to INR. 11.01 lakh (ex-showroom).
On the outside, the car now gets a sharper design thanks to updated panels and new lighting. Overall, the Indian car is now quite similar to the Euro-spec version of the i20. In terms of changes, it now gets a new bumper and a grille, new LED headlamps with sharp angles and integrated LED daytime running lamps. Towards the rear, the car now comes with a two tone number and there is a silver skid plate as well. Hyundai has equipped this new i20 with new design 16-inch alloy wheels.
There are multiple updates on the inside as well. For starters, the Hyundai i20 facelift now comes with a dual-tone interior. There is a touchscreen infotainment unit in the middle of the dash. The driver gets a multifunction four-spoke steering wheel along with a digital instrument cluster. The MY23 i20 also gets a 7-speaker Bose system, tyre pressure monitoring system, BlueLink connectivity suite and ambient lighting.
Hyundai is offering only one engine with the i20 facelift. This is the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 82 BHP / 115 Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed manual or an IVT transmission. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol is no longer being offered.

Hyundai Motor India Limited is celebrating its 27th year of operations in India. The Korean carmaker has been consistently ranked second after Maruti Suzuki in terms of total cars sold. Now, the company has revealed an ambitious target of manufacturing 1 million cars every year in India. To this end, Hyundai has now signed an Asset Purchase Agreement (APA) for the acquisition and assignment of select assets of General Motors India’s Talegaon Plant.
