Hyundai Motor India announced a bunch of launches today. One of them is the new 2023 Hyundai Creta, which has got some feature updates amongst others. Let us take a look at all the changes in the new Hyundai Creta.
The year 2022 was a good year for the Korean carmaker. Hyundai witnessed its highest-ever domestic sales since its inception. The company sold 5,52,511 units for the given period while the Creta numbers stood at 1,40,895. This means Creta accounts for over 25 percent of total Hyundai volumes. Hence it is an important model for the carmaker.
No, this is not the Creta Facelift that has got the Tucson-inspired front fascia, instead it is a mild refresh.
The major news is that Hyundai has added a bunch of safety features as standard. These include the 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC) and height-adjustable front seat belts, rear disc brakes and ISOFIX anchors for child seats. The 2023 Hyundai Creta will also get a 60:40 split rear seat.
That said, another key feature is the Idle Start / Stop system. Hyundai has equipped the Creta with a smart ISG that will improve the fuel economy of the car when driving through stop and go conditions.
Hyundai now offers engines that are aligned with the Government’s new emission norms. These include the 1.5-litre NA petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. Additionally, Hyundai also says that the petrol engine is now E20 fuel ready.
The petrol motor makes 113 BHP @ 6,300 rpm and 143.8 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. Hyundai has offered a 6-speed manual and an iVT gearbox with the engine. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 113 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 250 Nm @ 1,500-2,750 rpm. Owners are offered a choice of 6-speed manual or automatic gearboxes.
