Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2023 Passion+ in the Indian market. The bike makes its way to the stores after a hiatus of three years. Hero has priced the Passion+ from INR 76,301 (ex-showroom).
In terms of design, the latest iteration of the Passion+ is similar to the outgoing model. The bike comes with halogen headlamp, front fairing and a sculpted fuel tank. There is a single piece seat for both the rider and a pillion. Hero has equipped the Passion+ with alloy wheels. Customers will get a choice of three colour options – Sports Red with Black, Black with Nexus Blue and Black with Heavy Grey.
Other features of the Passion+ include a side exhaust, partially digital instrument cluster, USB charging socket and electric start.
Suspension unit consists of front conventional telescopic forks and rear twin shock absorbers. Stopping power comes from 130 mm drum brakes on both wheels.
The Passion+ comes with a 97.2cc single cylinder motor. This workhorse of an engine develops 8 BHP and 8.05 Nm of peak torque. It is meshed with a 4-speed gearbox. Coming to the latest norms, the Passion+ is OBD II compliant and gets Hero’s idle start/stop system known as the i3S.
In terms of competition, the Hero MotoCorp Passion+ heads against the likes of the Honda Shine and Bajaj Platina.
Thanks to the price, the Passion+ is currently the most expensive Hero bike in the 100cc segment. That said, Hero is the market leader in this space and the addition of the Passion+ will definitely appeal to its target customers.
The brand Passion also has good value and has always brought in the numbers for Hero MotoCorp. Since its launch in the Indian market, the bike has remained a top seller for Hero. With the updated model, the bike maker can expect it to sell in good numbers as well.
