The MY22 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS has been launched in India. The motorcycle was unveiled just a month back in the international market. Triumph India has put on a sticker price of INR 17.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for this beast of a motorcycle.
For the 2022 update, Speed Triple 1200 RS also benefits from a new colour option called Baja Orange. The use of Silver Ice for certain parts and the RS tag on the fuel tank also make the motorcycle look quite sporty. Notably, the front fender gets a carbon fibre finish. Other Triumph Speed 1200 RS colour options include Matte Silver Ice and Sapphire Black. We also see this Baja Orange shade in the 2022 update of the Trident 660. Triumph Speed triple 1200 RS will arrive in India via the CBU route. Triumph does not assemble or manufacture the Speed Triple RS in the country.
Technical Specifications
The 2022 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS continues to get the triple-cylinder 1160cc engine. The performance output of the motor reads as 180 PS and 125 Nm. Triumph also claims this is the most agile and dynamic handling Speed Triple. Moreover, the Speed Triple is also the most powerful and fastest-accelerating Speed Triple model ever. The chassis gets the support of a fully adjustable Ohlins suspension. The braking setup makes use of Brembo Stylema brakes. All these specifications make the Speed Triple 1200 RS a much more desirable product.
Features On Offer
Given the price tag, we expect a long list of equipment with the Speed Triple. The key highlighting ones include switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control, Cornering ABS, a new 5-inch TFT display, and the new full keyless system. It also gets Triumph Shift assist which allows clutchless up and downshifts. The rider also gets five riding modes. These modes also include an enhanced Track mode.
