Triumph gives an orange dose to the Speed Triple 1200 RS

Triumph Motorcycles is introducing a new colour option for the 2023 Speed Triple RS. An all-new striking and vibrant Matt Baja colour will join the current colour options. The other two colour options are the Matt Silver Ice and Sapphire Black. The new Matt Baja Orange features on the bike’s tank, side panels, rear bodywork, headlight finisher, seat cowl and belly pan. However, the front mudguard continues to use a carbon fibre trim to underline the sporty character of the bike. 

For now, the new colour option will be available in the international market. However, Triumph does not assemble or manufacture the Speed Triple RS in the country. The model comes to India via the CBU route hence expect the new colour to arrive soon.

2022 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS – Highlights

According to the British brand, the Speed Triple 1200 RS is the most powerful and fastest-accelerating Speed Triple model ever. The triple-cylinder engine is also now bigger and displaces 1160cc. The bigger engine makes 180 PS and 125 Nm. Hence, it is up by 30 PS and 8 Nm.

Triumph also says it is the most agile and dynamic handling Speed Triple. The motorcycle loses 10 kg and now tips the scales at 198 kg. The Speed Triple 1200 RS gets a new chassis and a more dominant riding position. Also standard is new track specification equipment like fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, Brembo Stylema brakes and Metzeler Racetec RR tyres.

The Speed Triple 1200 RS also gets a host of new electronics. These include switchable Optimised Cornering Traction Control and Cornering ABS. The rider can choose from five riding modes, which also include an enhanced Track mode. The instrument console also gets a new 5-inch TFT display. Other electronics highlights include the Triumph Shift Assist and the new full keyless system.
