MY22 Isuzu MU-X & V-Cross get larger infotainment

Isuzu Motor India updated the MU-X and V-Cross last year with a BS6-compliant engine. The manufacturer is now adding another incremental update. The new addition to the cars is a new touch-screen infotainment unit. The MU-X and V-Cross now get a 9-inch touch-screen infotainment display. The new infotainment display replaces the old 7-inch unit. Customers can directly connect their Android or Apple devices to the new system thanks to the inclusion of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. 

Isuzu MU-X and V-Cross – Price and Variants

The Isuzu MU-X SUV comes in two variants – 4×2 and 4×4. Both the variants are available only with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The 4×2 variant has an INR 34.99 lakh ex-showroom price tag, and the top-spec 4×4 variant has an INR 37.89 lakh ex-showroom price tag.

On the other hand, the Isuzu Motor D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pick-up truck in three trims. The three trim levels also include the new entry-level Hi-Lander variant. The Hi-Lander variant comes only with a 6-speed manual gearbox with a 4×2 driveline. The price for the Hi-Lander variant is INR 19.49 lakh ex-showroom. 

The two other variants in the V-Cross lineup are Z and Z Prestige. The Z variant comes with a choice of 4×2 or 4×4 drivelines with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission options. However, the 4×2 comes with the automatic transmission and the 4×4 with the manual. The price for the Z 4×2 AT is INR 22.99 lakh ex-showroom, and the Z 4×4 MT is INR 23.49 lakh ex-showroom. The top-spec Z Prestige only comes with a 6-speed automatic with a 4×4 driveline and an INR 26.99 lakh ex-showroom price tag.

Isuzu MU-X and V-Cross – Powertrain

Both the models share the same engine. The engine powering them is a 1.9-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which is BS6-compliant. It also features a Variable Geometry Turbocharger and produces 163 PS of power and 360 Nm of max torque. The MU-X SUV only gets the new 6-speed Sequential Shift Automatic transmission, while the V-Cross is also available with the 6-speed manual gearbox. The 4×4 models also feature a Shift-On-Fly off-road select dial.
