Harley-Davidson has expanded its ‘Grand American Touring Segment’ by introducing the 2022 Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST motorcycles. The two new motorcycles showcase elevated performance and style from Harley-Davidson’s championship-winning Screamin’ Eagle Factory race bikes. Both the Road Glide ST and Street Glide ST combine a factory-custom look due to new panniers and front fairings. Harley-Davidson has ensured to equip both bikes with its signature Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine with a new dark and bronze finishes.
Harley-Davidson’s all-new hot rodder now features a splitstream vent to limit head buffeting and a low-profile dark windshield for protection. Along with a new low-profile tank console with side fuel fill, the bike sports a low-profile engine guard for custom style. Bearing inspiration from the stance of the Screamin Eagle Factory race bike, the Street Glide ST sports black-coloured design elements. These include the front end, controls, powertrain, and exhaust, with the bright parts being the pushrod tubes and tappet covers.
Additionally, the bike sports machined cylinder fins and a Matte Dark Bronze finish on the Prodigy cast aluminium wheels. Harley-Davidson also offers a colour band on the lower rocker box, timer cover medallion and an intake medallion on the bike. The Street Glide ST also sports a classic script tank graphic that acts as a subtle contrast for the dark finishes. With two new colours- Vivid Black or Gunship Grey, the bike showcases a trimmed front fender for a sporty look.
Complimenting its performance styling are the standard-length saddlebags and a Heavy Breather intake with a forward-facing exposed air cleaner element. The 2022 Street Glide ST gets a new solo seat and Emulsion-technology rear shock absorbers with hydraulic adjustment and pre-load. For improved road manners, the bike sports 49mm front forks with dual bending valve suspension technology, delivering linear damping characteristics. Other features include Daymaker LED Lighting System, Reflex-linked Brembo brakes with ABS, and a Boom Box GTS infotainment system.
Borrowing inspiration from the Screamin’ Eagle Factory championship-winning race bike, the new Road Glide ST features multiple design details. The bike now sports a shark nose fixed fairing with triple splitstream venting to limit head buffeting while riding. Additionally, Harley-Davidson has topped the fairing with a low-profile dark windshield that includes the signature dual Daymaker LED headlamps. The 2022 Road Glide ST packs multiple features that are similar to the all-new 2022 Street Glide ST.
These include a new solo seat, standard-length saddlebags, a trimmed front fender, blacked-out front end, controls, powertrain and exhaust contrast. Other details include bright pushrod tubes, tappet covers, machined cylinder fins, and a colour band on the lower rocker box. The bike also sports a timer cover medallion, intake medallion, a classic script tank graphic, and a Heavy Breather intake. The 2022 Street Glide ST sports the same suspension setup, colour options, and features as the 2022 Road Glide ST.
Harley-Davidson has equipped both bikes with its signature Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements that provide assistance for the rider. This technology package includes Cornering Electronically Linked Brakes, Cornering-ABS, Cornering-Traction Control with modes, and Drag Torque Slip Control. Along with Vehicle Hold Control and TPMS, both bikes feature the signature Milwaukee-Eight 117 V-Twin engine with multiple updates. Thanks to a new high-performance camshaft, a high-flow intake, and high-performance exhaust, the engine develops 106 PS and 172 Nm.
