MV Agusta partners with Akrapovič for premium exhaust systems

Italian premium superbike manufacturer, MV Agusta has announced that the brand has collaborated with Slovenian premium performance exhaust manufacturer Akrapovič, to equip its select line-up with Akrapovič exhausts that will enhance the motorcycle’s style and aural performance. Under the industrial partnership, Akrapovič will design and produce exclusively for specific MV Agusta motorcycles. The brand has not revealed which MV Agusta motorcycles will receive the new exhaust system and more details are likely to be revealed in the near future, but it will be safe to speculate the the treatment will be for the upcoming MV Agusta superbikes across the supersport and streetfighter line-up. 

Akrapovič has revealed that the brand will be using high-end and technical materials such as Titanium and Carbon Fibre in the manufacturing of these exhaust systems. The new exhaust systems will not only add to the style quotient of the MV Agusta motorcycles but will be in-line with the brand’s ‘Motorcycle Art’ philosophy as well. In addition, the new exhaust systems are likely to be lighter than conventional system and offer slightly more performance output. 

In other news, MV Agusta has announced that the brand has joined hands with Chinese motorcycle manufacturer QJ Motor for distribution of MV Agusta motorcycles in China. Under the new strategic partnership, QJ Motor will be adding around 21 MV Agusta dealerships to the country within a span of 12 months. the brand will also provide Chinese customer’s top-notch quality of service through flagship stores.

At a later stage, MV Agusta and QJ Motor are also speculated to engage in developing an industrial collaboration. For now, MV Agusta is developing new products as well as working on the new stringent Euro5 compliance on the existing model line-up. It is speculated that the brand could be developing new products in the Scrambler and Cruiser segments.
