MS Dhoni has acquired a TVS Ronin. The former Indian Cricket captain is a die hard motorcycling enthusiast and has been spotted multiple times riding two wheelers. Infact, his collection of two wheelers is quite inspiring as well. Dhoni is also the brand ambassador of the TVS brand.
TVS Motor Company launched the new Ronin motorcycle last year. It is on sale in three variants – the Ronin SS, Ronin DS, and a top variant called Ronin TD. The bike is priced between Rs 1,49,000 and Rs 1,70,650, ex-showroom.
MS Dhoni’s motorcycle collection
MS Dhoni has a collection of over 100 bikes. These include the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja H2, Yamaha RD350, Ducati, Suzuki Shogun, Yamaha RX100, X132 Hellcat, TVS Apache 310, some Harley Davidsons, Rajdoot and more.
The TVS Ronin will now join this vast collection. The bike is configured in a Galactric Grey paint job and the top-most version.
TVS Ronin – Price and Variants
The TVS Ronin has been launched in three variants. The entry-level single-tone colour with single-channel ABS comes with a price tag of INR 1.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Dual-Tone Single-Channel model comes with a price tag of INR 1.56 lakh ex-showroom. The top-of-the-line Triple-Tone with Dual-Channel costs INR 1.69 lakh ex-showroom.
TVS Ronin – Technical Specifications
Powering the TVS Ronin is a 225.9cc squared-off single-cylinder air-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve SOHC engine. The oil-cooled fuel-injected engine with glide-through technology produces 20.4 PS of power and 19.93 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. The TVS Ronin features a double split synchro-stiff frame that rides on a 41mm upside-down front suspension and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock on the rear. The braking setup consists of a 300mm single disc on the front and a 240mm disc on the rear equipped with Rain and Urban ABS modes. The motorcycle also comes with 9-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 110/70 front and 130/70 rear block pattern tyres specially commissioned for the Ronin.
