Ever since their debut in the Indian market, MG Motor India have been making the right noise. Even when the bookings had to be stopped, that too was a positive sign as the market had well received the Hector SUV. Now, the brand has revealed that they have delivered 700 units of the Hector SUV on a single day during Diwali 2019 on the auspicious day of Dhanteras. Morris Garages at the moment only retails the Hector SUV and all these positive news are surely building up decent momentum for their upcoming ZS EV SUV.
MG Motor India had organised delivery events along with their dealer partners across India to make this moment special for the respective customers. Also, each MG Hector SUV sold in India is contributing towards girl child education in association with IIMPACT NGO which was also highlighted during this delivery event. Morris Garages delivered close to 200 Hector SUVs from a single location in Delhi-NCR to make this a mega event. Surely one of the biggest car delivery event and experience by any brand in India.
Morris Garages revealed that they have so far contributed to education of over 35,000 girl children since August 2019 in India under their ‘Worth Waiting For’ program which is liked with the waiting period for the Hector SUV. So when a customer has to wait to get his / her car delivered, for every two weeks a customer spends waiting, one girl child gets the education taken care of.
With more than 38,000 bookings for the Hector SUV, Morris Garages has set quite an example in front of other car manufacturers in India that at a good price, a well marketed product will sell even in a slowdown in the industry. Morris Garages also recently celebrated the roll out of the 10,000th Hector SUV from their plant in Halol. From November 2019 with the 2nd shift being added, MG will be producing more Hector SUVs / month to reduce the waiting time for customers.
