More info about the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR

Kawasaki has released new information on the upcoming Ninja ZX-4R sportsbike. The highly anticipated bike is expected to revive the 4-cylinder 400cc segment.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR : More Details

Kawasaki is planning to launch the RR version of the Ninja ZX-4RR for the UK markets. The bike will be priced at GBP 8699 (INR. 9,11,204). Customers will be able to get their hands on one from September 2023.

The RR variant will be available in Kawasaki’s traditional green colour. The bike is also expected to get highlights in red and black along with special RR logos. The Japanese bike maker has also equipped the ZX-4RR with a quickshifter, auto-blipper and traction control.

Riders will also benefit from a 4.3-inch colour LCD. There is also a track mode with a lap timer, gear position and rpm readings of over 10,000.

In terms of hardware, the bike gets 37mm upside-down Showa big piston separate function forks and 290mm front discs with ABS. the forks get preload adjustment. At the back, there is a 220mm disc.

Powertrain of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR

The powerhouse of this bike is a 399cc, four-cylinder unit with DOHC. This motor develops 18.9 BHP @ 14,500 rpm. The rev limiter of this bike kicks in after 15,000 rpm.

This unique bike from Kawasaki aims to revive the segment which had bikes like the Kawasaki ZXR400 and Honda CBR400RR. It is not yet known if the bike maker plans to launch this motorcycle in India.

In other news Kawasaki has brought back the ZX-6R. The Japanese bike maker has launched the motorcycle in the UK market. The new Kawasaki ZX-6R comes with a 636cc liquid cooled inline-four engine. This is a Euro 5 compliant unit that develops 128 BHP and 69 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a quickshifter. It is not yet known if it is a bi-directional quickshifter.
