Lexus has announced the release of a media gallery containing all-new pictures and animations of its next-gen BEV sportscar. Toyota Motor Corporation’s President and Lexus Brand Holder, Akio Toyoda, first unveiled the sports car during the corporate battery BEV announcement. First revealed on December 14th, 2021, the new sportscar will join Lexus’ complete line-up of EVs by the year 2030. Based on rumours and speculations, the new BEV sportscar showcased by Lexus is the spiritual successor of the LFA supercar.
Lexus Electrified Sport: An Overview
Named the Electrified Sport concept, the fully-electric sports car takes inspiration from the performance showcased by the legendary Lexus LFA. The automaker has created the electric concept by using all its expertise, learnings, and experiences from building the LFA. Reports suggest that Lexus plans to equip the production-ready Electrified Sport with new solid-state batteries, offering 690 Km of range. Meanwhile, Lexus also claims that the production-ready electric sports will sport a 0-100 kph acceleration time of under 2 seconds.
In terms of design, the electric concept car takes inspiration from the 2011 Lexus LFA, which featured a long bonnet. Additionally, the Electrified Sport concept also sports a unique carb-rear silhouette with low-profile tyres, distinct aerodynamics, and multiple air intake. Lexus is likely to market the production-ready version of the concept as a track-oriented supercar with a bumper-mounted, red tow hook. Lexus’ parent company Toyota also plans to use the solid-state batteries from the Electrified Sport Concept on to their production EVs.

The automaker stated that the all-new NX 300h set new benchmarks with regards to technology, performance, design, and electrification. Along with dynamism and purposeful technology, the new NX 300h SUV combines style and sophistication via a sharp design.
Lexus India currently offers the 2022 NX 300h in 3 variants – Exquisite, Luxury, and F-Sport across all its dealerships. Meanwhile, Lexus and its parent company Toyota both announced their road map for the future, which involves electrification in 2021. Both companies will launch a total of 30 EVs across their passenger and commercial vehicle segments, expanding their portfolio.
