Mini opens bookings for new Cooper 3-door in India

Mini India has announced that the brand has started accepting bookings on the new Mini Cooper 3-door. The Mini Cooper 3-door got a complete revamp last year in the international market. The new Mini Cooper 3-door comes with new exteriors and interiors along with two engine options, abroad. However, the brand has not yet announced which engine option will be available here in India.

Mini Cooper 3-door – What’s New?

The new Mini Cooper 3-door comes with an octagonal front grille and round LED headlights, easily recognisable as a Mini even from far. The car also features short overhangs and a studded air dam. But the new Mini also boasts a compact silhouette yet longer wheelbase, and larger wheels with aerodynamic elements.

The roofline of the Mini Cooper 3-door also consists of a panoramic roof with two separate planes. This ensures strong sun protection when closed and deflects wind to reduce noise when open, reveal Mini. The taillights now features a new triangular design, but also get the Union Jack light signature.

On the inside, the new Mini Cooper 3-door is not only completely revamped but also comes with features such as immersive Experience Modes. The car also comes with ambient lighting, and soundscape. The Mini Cooper 3-door also gets a new circular OLED display.

In addition to this, the car also comes with fisheye in-car camera and a new tactile interior upholstery. In addition to this, the car also gets Advanced Driver Assistance Systems as well as customisable LED DRLs. However, not all the options mentioned above will be available as standard.

Mini Cooper 3-door – Engine

The Mini Cooper 3-door is likely to come with either a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo-petrol which develops 154 Bhp of power or a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which makes 201 Bhp of power. The car is likely to be available only with an automatic gearbox.
