Mini India has launched the super-exclusive Limited Edition Mini John Cooper Works Hatch inspired by the Mini John Cooper Works GP at the price of INR 46.90 lakh ex-showroom. The brand has announced that the Mini John Cooper Works will only be available in a limited run of 15 units in the Indian market and will arrive on the Indian soil via the CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit) route.
The Limited-Edition model is a tribute to Mini John Cooper Works GP, bringing the authentic ability of the race track model to the road. The brand’s motor-sport passion reverberates with the Mini John Cooper Work GP edition as the limited-edition special model comes with the John Cooper Works GP Pack. The motor-sport inspired pack combines the exclusive racing attributes with the road.
The Mini John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition is exclusively available in the shade of Racing Grey Metallic. The paint theme is further enhanced by contrasting features such as Melting Silver Metallic roof, mirror caps and John Cooper Works rear spoiler. Furthermore, the Limited Edition model comes with John Cooper Works Cup Spoke 2-tone Alloy wheel featuring GP badged Wheel Hub Caps. The exterior parts are also surrounded by the Mini emblem such as the headlights, taillights, door handles, fuel filler caps and front grille. The car also receives premium Piano Black on the exteriors as well as the Air Intake Trim and Side Scuttles in sporty carbon fibre.
On the inside, the John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition features Leather Dinamica wrapped Sports Seats with GP badging, GP logo on the floor mats for the driver and front passenger, rear mats with Red stitching, Walknappa leather-wrapped John Cooper Works Steering Wheel with Red contrast stitching, 3D printed paddle shifts with GP badging, John Cooper Works stainless steel pedal caps, door sills with GP badging, panorama glass roof and an exclusive 3D printed GP inspired keycap.
The Mini John Cooper Works GP Inspired Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo motor that churns out 231 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque matched to an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. The engine is capable of propelling the car to 100 kmph in 6.1seconds.
