MG has globally unveiled the new MG6 XPower representing the brand racing DNA and heritage. The MG6 XPower is the first production version built on MG’s XPOWER Concept.
The MG6 XPower features an X-shape front apron with prominent nostrils and sleek headlamps. The car features a vertically slated grille design and aggressive air intakes that flank the front bumper. The MG6 XPower features a mesh grille on the lower air intake and splitter on the air dam, enhancing the car’s aerodynamic efficiency.
The sporty sedan features flared wheel arches on both the front and rear of the car and double pneumatic diffusers diffuser at the back. The MG6 XPower also gets a large carbon fibre rear spoiler and blackened taillight with an X-shape design. The XPower sedan also gets an ultra-wide body design, an aerodynamic body kit, and sleek character lines.
The MG6 XPower features a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara. The car also gets high-end suede material on the inner door panels. The interiors of the car feature a contrast stitching with green and grey highlights, reverberating with its sporty nature. The car features a multilayered dashboard and a high central tunnel. The MG6 XPower features a large centrally-mounted infotainment system and a fully digital instruments cluster. The XPower also gets sporty racing-style seats and green seatbelts to match the colour theme of the car.
The MG6 XPower comes with custom features such as the ‘X’ family customization logo around the car. The logo appears on side skirts, door sills, seats, centre armrest etc. MG also prints a limited-edition number to make the vehicle extra exclusive for the customer.
Powering the MG6 XPower is a 1.5T Trophy in-cylinder direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. The Plug-In-Hybrid engine produces 305 PS of power and 480 Nm of torque. The engine comes with a 10-speed EDU second-generation intelligent electric drive gearbox. The powertrain is capable of propelling the car from 0-100 kmph in just 6 seconds.
The brand also employs racing-grade 920E 6-piston fixed callipers with a newly designed floating brake disc. The uprated components can achieve a braking performance of 33 meters from 100 km/h to 0. MG has also tuned the chassis and the suspension. The body is also reduced by 10mm, giving it a sporty posture. The MG6 XPower is also shod in Michelin Pilot Sport CUP2 high-performance semi-hot-melt patterned tyres.
