MG Motor India has announced a new milestone. The brand’s electric vehicle, the ZS EV has surpassed a combined mileage of 19 crore km. As part of the World Environment Day, which comes on June 5th every year, MG wants to solidify its position as a popular electric vehicle among environmentally conscious drivers in India.
The mG ZS EV has an average CO2 emissions of 144.9 grams / km. Hence, the total CO2 saved stands at around 27 million kilograms over these 19 crore kilometres. With the focus of the manufacturer on electric mobility, this milestone comes in at an appropriate time. MG Motor India is committed to the introduction of charging infrastructure, reduction of carbon footprint and improvement of urban mobility. To this effect, the ultimate aim is to contribute to a cleaner and more healthier environment.
The ZS EV is India’s first Internet SUV. The all-electric car comes with multiple charging options like DC Super-Fast Chargers, AC Fast Chargers, AC Fast Charger at MG dealerships, Portable charger with ZS EV and 24X7 mobile charging support via RSA.
The ZS EV also comes with a 50.3 kWh battery which offers a maximum range of 461 km on a single charge. The motor output is 176 PS and the 0-100 km/h time is 8.5 seconds. Further, the battery in the ZS EV is a prismatic cell-type battery which is claimed to have better range and life while offering high energy density.
On the inside, the ZS EV, MG comes with an all-black theme with contrast silver inlays. Key features of this SUV include a wireless charger, heated exterior rearview mirrors, a 360-degree parking camera, a 7-inch full-TFT instrument panel, power front seats, and an automatic parking brake.
Apart from the vehicle, MG also plans to install 1000 AC fast chargers across the country in 1000 days. Apart from this, every MG ZS EV owner will get a free AC fast charger installed at their home or office.
