MG Motor India announced that the Windsor EV will come with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. However, this is what you pay for the car. The Windsor EV is available only with Battery As A Service. Under the battery as a service program, the brand revealed that the customer will have to additionally pay INR 3.5/km. However, as an introductory offer, MG Motor India is offering free charging for a period of 1 year. The battery also comes with a lifetime warranty for the first buyer. Also, the battery gets an unlimited warranty as well as 3 years of standard warranty and 3 years of RSA as well. On the other hand, the Punch.EV comes with a starting price of INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom and the price goes upto INR 14.29 lakh ex-showroom.
Powertrain, Range and Dimensions
Powering the MG Windsor EV is a 136 PS electric motor that produces 200 Nm of torque. The motor is connected to a 36 kWh battery pack that claims to offer a range of just 331 km on a single charge. The Windsor EV is 4,295mm in length, 2,126mm in width and 1,677mm in height. The Windsor EV comes with a 2,700mm wheelbase offering spacious interiors. On the other hand, the Tata Punch.EV comes with a 121 PS electric motor that makes 190 Nm of torque. The Punch.EV also comes with a 35 kWh battery pack that claims a range of 421 km on the MIDC cycle.
