The Price

Now, pricing is where things get tricky. The price of the Windsor EV starts at INR 9,99 lakh which undercuts the starting price of the Curvv.ev. However, this price is only for the car. The battery will be owned by MG and customers will have to pay INR 3.5 per kilometer of usage. The usage cost will be additional and will be billed monthly to the customer.

The pricing of the Curvv.ev starts at INR 17.49 lakh which is a massive 7.49 lakh more than the Windsor EV. In this case, the battery is bundled with the car and there will be no additional monthly fee.

For the sake of the comparison, if you buy the Windsor EV instead of the Curvv.ev, with the INR 7.49 lakh that you save, you will be able to drive the Windsor EV for approx. 2,14,000 km. So much driving for an average user will come in 10 to 15 years. Plus, you do not have to worry about battery warranty as MG gives you lifetime coverage for the battery as long as you are the first owner of the car. Tata offers an 8-year or 1,00,000 km warranty on the Curvv.ev battery. However, the Curvv.ev offers more powerful motors and longer range in both variants.
