MG will soon be unveiling the all-new Windsor EV for the Indian market. The Windsor EV is an all-electric intelligent crossover utility vehicle which is likely to slot in between the MG Comet EV and the MG ZS EV. Currently the brand has only been teasing us with some cool features of the Windsor EV. This leads us to believe that the MG Windsor EV is now close to production and about to make its debut soon.
MG Motor India revealed that the MG Windsor EV is undergoing tests at the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. For the uninitiated the Rann of Kutch is a salt marsh located in the Thar desert and is one of the largest salt deserts in the world. The Rann is also infamously one of the harshest environments in the world and thus automotive companies flock to the inhospitable land to carry out advanced testing of their vehicles. The Rann of Kutch is also one of the hottest areas in our country with summer temperatures soaring to almost 50-degrees Celsius and winter temperatures plummeting to below 0-degrees C. The brand has brought the Windsor EV to the Rann of Kutch to test its mettle and if the car is able to survive the hot dessert, it can virtually survive anything on Earth.
In the recent past, the MG Windsor EV was teased with features such as reclining 2nd row seats which the brand calls as Aero-Lounge seats. The seats claims to offer the best comfort in the segment with 135-degree of recline angle which is segment-first feature. In addition to this, MG also revealed that the Windsor EV will come with Infinity View Glass Roof which also claims to be a first-in-segment feature. The brand had also teased us with the Windsor’s water wading capabilities, which leads us to believe that MG is planning to bring in another disruptive product to the Indian market. So Stay Tuned.
