The JSW MG Motor India has announced a price hike for their Windsor EV, which now costs INR 50,000 more. This signifies the termination of the free charging promotion and the introductory rate.
Last September, the MG Windsor EV was introduced in the Indian market. A special price was announced on the first 10,000 units. Now that JSW MG Motor India has announced a price increase of INR 50,000, MG Windsor is now priced between INR 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and INR 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Furthermore, the MG e-hub application’s free charging promotion is currently unavailable. All MG Windsor models are affected by this price increase; the top-trim Essence now costs INR 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Excite variation now costs INR 13.99 lakh.
Additionally, the MG e-hub app’s free charging promotion has stopped. Customers who received a Windsor EV before December 31, 2024, were eligible for it.
There are three different models of the Windsor EV: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. The EV has a 38 kWh battery pack and according to MG, a single charge can last up to 332 km. With a DC fast charger, it can charge from 0% to 80% in under 50 minutes. It drives an electric motor that produces 200 Nm and 134 BHP. Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport are the vehicle’s four driving modes.
The Windsor EV’s interior has the largest touchscreen unit of any MG vehicle to date, measuring 15.6 inches. It also has a panoramic glass roof, motorised tailboard, driver’s seat adjustments, automatic air conditioning and an 8.8-inch fully digital instrument cluster. In the safety features, it has six airbags, a 360-degree video, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and electronic stability control (ESC).
