The MG Windsor EV has witnessed a huge delivery of 101 units in a day. The delivery was done by MG FPL Chennai on Saturday. The MG windsor. In just one month after its launch in September 2024, the MG Windsor EV became the best-selling electric vehicle in its sector in India in October 2024. On October 3rd, MG Windsor EV started its booking and received over 15,176 bookings in just 24 hours after it opened for business, becoming the first passenger EV in India to get this amount of bookings in just 24 hours. Over 7,045 units were sold by MG Motor India in the past year, among which 3,116 of those units were of MG Windsor EV.
The MG Windsor EV is built on a ‘Pure EV Platform’ and comes in at a starting price of INR 13,49,00 (ex showroom). It is supported by a IP67-certified 38 kWh Li-ion battery pack with a 331 km range. This battery generates 136 ps of power and 200 Nm of torque. It comes with three riding modes: Normal, Sport, Eco+, and Eco. The EV comes in three variants: Essence, Exclusive, and Excite. And additionally, comes in four color options: turquoise green, clay beige, pearl white, and starburst black.
MG Windsor EV has MG-Jio Innovative Connectivity Platform (ICP) installed that offers various advanced technological features such as Home-to-Car functionality with over 100 AI powered voice commands, real-time navigation and remote vehicle control. The Windsor has 18-inch alloy wheels. A 15.6-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, LED lights, LED daytime running lamps, LED ambient lights with 256 light options, an Infinity sound system with nine speakers, Aero lounge seats that can be reclined up to 135 degrees, and adjustable front seats are all included in the vehicle. The car also has six airbags, a 360-degree camera, surround-view camera, an electronic parking brake, an electronic stability control, auto hold assistance, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
