MG Motor India has achieved a historic milestone with its latest electric vehicle, the MG Windsor EV. Within just 24 hours of opening bookings on October 3, 2024, at 7:30 am, the company secured a staggering 15,176 bookings, making the Windsor the first passenger EV in India to reach such a remarkable feat in a single day. This record-breaking achievement highlights the growing enthusiasm for electric vehicles in the Indian market and signifies a major shift towards sustainable mobility.
The overwhelming response to the MG Windsor EV can be attributed to its attractive pricing and innovative features. Customers can book the Windsor for INR 11,000 at their nearest MG dealership or by visiting the official website. The EV is available at a starting price of INR 9.99 lakh plus INR 3.5/km under the Battery as a Service (BaaS) program. Alternatively, customers can opt for an outright purchase, with prices starting from INR 13,49,800 (ex-showroom). Deliveries of the Windsor are set to commence on October 12, 2024.

The MG Windsor EV combines the comfort of a sedan with the expanse of an SUV, offering an aerodynamic design, spacious interiors, and a range of advanced features. It is powered by a 38 kWh Li-ion battery pack, which is IP67 certified, delivering an impressive performance of 100KW (136ps) power and 200Nm torque through four driving modes (Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport). The EV boasts a certified range of 332 km on a single charge, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and long drives.
The Windsor EV is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, and comes in four vibrant color options: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green. The EV also offers several industry-first initiatives, including a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner, one year of free charging at public chargers through the eHUB by MG app, assured 60% buyback after 3 years/45,000 kms, and the MG e-Shield package, which includes a 3-year unlimited km warranty on the vehicle, 3 years of RSA coverage, and 3 labor-free services.
