More Details On Upcoming MG Hector

A test mule of the upcoming MG Hector is on the internet yet again. This time around, we have a look at the interiors. The updated Hector will most likely come with a vertically oriented 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. As evident by the spy shots, the 3-spoke steering wheel remains unchanged. Speaking of features, the MG Hector will carry MG’s Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Thus one says, ADAS is now becoming a norm in the Indian automotive industry. Almost all recent launches are coming with some sort of ADAS tech with them.

There are some changes to the exterior of Hector as well. These include a new redesigned front grille with chrome inserts and LED daytime running lights positioned on either side. The updated front bumper now houses dual-pod LED headlamps. Meanwhile, the tail lamp clusters get minor changes as well.

Mechanically, the new Hector will remain identical to the outgoing model. Thus, it will continue to use the same 2.0-liter diesel, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrains.

With the SUV segment heating up, MG will have to position the Hector so as to attract the audience’s attention. Hector is already a well-established brand, and now with updated bits, the SUV will become even more appealing.
