MG discontinues Style and Super variants of Astor?

MG Motor India has reportedly stopped accepting bookings for Style and Super variants of the Astor. The Astor is now available in three variants – Smart, Sharp and Savvy. The entry-level variant is now the Smart variant with an INR 13.28 lakh ex-showroom price. This change brings the starting price of the Astor up by INR 3.3 lakh. The new starting price makes it the costliest car in the mid-size SUV segment. The Astor is now available in Smart, Sharp and the range-topping Savvy variant.

The company’s focus is on delivering the existing orders of the Astor. The dealers suggest an average waiting period of two to three months for most variants. While the Smart variant with the petrol engine and manual transmission has a minimum waiting period of five to six months. Currently, the Astor range starts with INR 13.28 lakh ex-showroom for the Smart variant and tops out at INR 17.72 lakh ex-showroom for the Savvy variant with a turbocharged petrol engine and automatic transmission.
