MG Comet EV Interior Teaser

The latest teaser image of the interior cabin of the Comet EV has resulted in a lot of details which will be crucial for potential buyers. First, the steering wheel will get a two-tone colour scheme, not premium leather upholstery, but soft touch material with a contrast coloured panel to house the steering mounted controls. What you can see next, is a game changer for this size of a vehicle. The MG Comet will get a dual screen setup similar to many luxury cars. There’s a full digital coloured speedometer cluster which is also hinting at smart assisting features for the driver. The display looks crisp enough, to keep the driver / owner pleased throughout his / her drive. Then, there’s the large horizontal coloured touchscreen infotainment which will most definitely get features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both screens have a connected housing, but you will be able to notice a thick gloss black bezel in between.

Below this, you can notice a metallic accent for the AC vents, a 3-pot climate control console, adjustable steering wheel lever, dual tone finish on the door pads, small front quarter glass, flat dashboard top, layered dashboard design and extra storage spot on the dashboard in front of the passenger.

Other media shared by MG Motor India also reveals that there won’t be a tunnel / central console between the front seats. The gear console could be a rotary knob between the driver & front passenger along with electric park brake and auto hold function. Front seats will also get integrated headrests.

MG Motor India has officially stated that the infotainment screen and the speedometer digital cluster, both measure 10.25″ with a floating design. The MG Comet will also allow for voice commands and will come with connected car features.

The new MG Comet EV is a futuristic and smart mobility concept in the EV space for Indian commuters. This won’t be a long distance, road trip vehicle. But for your daily urban needs, you actually don’t need anything more than this when your vehicle needs are just to move from A to B.
