JSW MG Motor India has updated its popular electric hatchback car Comet with a new flagship variant called Blackstorm. The new edition is equipped with black colour cosmetic enhancements and new features. Read all the details below.

The new Blackstorm Edition Comet gets a black body colour with red highlights called ‘Starry Black’ treatment. The all-black theme includes the gloss-black grille, ORVMs, and even the wheels, along with red highlights.
On the inside, it is equipped with black leather seats that have ‘Blackstorm’ lettering embedded in them. Additionally, the new top-spec trim now offers a total of 4 speakers for better in-car entertainment.
The pricing of the new Blackstorm Comet is Rs 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom), excluding the battery rental, which is priced at Rs 2.5 per kilometre (depending on the service provider). Moreover, the Comet EV range now starts from Rs 4.99 lakh only, if customers opt for the battery rental alone.
The Comet electric car has become a superhit product for MG India. It is a practical EV that provides good space and comfort for city driving. Additionally, its nimble size is traffic-friendly for easy driving.
MG has equipped the Comet with a 17.4 kWh battery pack that produces 41 bhp and 110 Nm of peak power and torque. It can cover an IDC-claimed distance of up to 230 km on a single charge and it also supports rapid charging.

The MG Comet EV has witnessed a strong surge in demand as it has grown 29 per cent in year-on-year sales. It is a popular EV among city users who want a smart car with long-range. The Blackstorm iteration offers an additional smart outlook along with refreshed interiors.
