MG Motor India is planning to launch the MG Cloud EV in the Indian market soon. The brand is currently road-testing the MG Cloud EV in Indian market which leads us to believe that the electric car will make its debut here soon. A test mule of the EV has been seen testing in India more than once which also leads us to believe that the brand could be in the process of homologating the car here.
Speculation is that the MG Cloud EV will slot above the MG ZS EV in the Indian market. The MG Cloud EV is likely to come with a crossover design and measure 4295mm in length, 1850mm in width, and 1652mm in height. Also, the MG Cloud EV is likely to come with premium interior features such as a a 15.6-inch touchscreen on the higher-spec trims. In addition to this, the brand is also likely to offer the Cloud EV with ADAS features to keep the car relevant and future proof. Furthermore, the MG Cloud EV is also likely to come with features such as LED headlamps and tail lamps, 360-degree camera, 6-airbags, and more.
The MG Cloud EV could come with a 50.6 kWh battery pack that offers a range of around 450 km on a single charge. The MG Cloud EV is also likely to come with fast charging technology. Reports in the past have also suggested that MG could introduce two powertrain options and a smaller battery pack could offer around 360 km of range. The second smaller battery pack could be a 37.9 kWh unit.
So will the Indian audience embrace the MG Cloud EV here in our market. While the EV segment is booming, it still depends on the price tag that the brand offers the MG Cloud EV here in India.
