Mercedes-Maybach S-Class revealed

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class has made its world premiere at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is longer by 20mm than the regular S-Class and measures 5,453mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3,365mm. All the benefits of the increased length do directly to the rear passengers in the form of extra available room. At the back, this luxury limousine gets two individual, electrically adjustable seats with a host of features. On the outside, the Maybach S-Class sports a Maybach badge at the back, a Maybach logo on the rear quarter panel, chrome B-pillar, different alloy wheels, new front grille, etc.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be offered in two variants:

  • S500 powered by a 4.6L, V8 motor producing 455 BHP of power and 700 Nm of torque. Engine is mated to a world-first 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 11.23 kmpl.
  • S600 powered by a 6.0L, V12 motor producing 530 BHP of power & 830 Nm of torque. Engine is mated to the latest generation 7G-TRONIC PLUS automatic transmision. Fuel consumption is rated at 8.54 kmpl.

Both the models have an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph and can achieve a 0-100 stint in 5 seconds.

The Maybach S-Class will be launched in February 2015 as RWD (Rear Wheel Drive). A 4MATIC AWD for the S500 will be launched in July 2015.
