Mercedes-Maybach has launched its most premium electric SUV in the Indian market, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS. The SUV comes with a starting price of INR 2.25 crore ex-showroom and is the first ever, Mercedes-Maybach electric car in the Indian market. The Maybach EQS comes with a number of exterior and interior features as well as new technology to distinguish itself from the standard EQS SUV. In India, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS will only be available in the 680 trim.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV features a large chrome plated grille on the front in a vertical setting. Furthermore, the electric SUV features sleek headlamps with LED DRLs and a lighter that connects end to end. In addition to this, the car also gets indium panels to hide the front radar and give the car a seamless look. Mercedes-Maybach is also offering the EQS SUV with a dual tone paint finish as an option. On the inside, the Mercedes-Maybach SUV features a triple screen layout. To distinguish itself from the standard, the car also comes with a Maybach specific start-up sequence. Furthermore, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS also features a rear seat entertainment package, featuring 11.6-inch displays along with an MBUX tablet. The car also comes with multiple UBS charging ports as well as a pair of HDMI ports. Features also include folding tables, a cooling cabinet as well as Champagne goblets.
Powering the Mercedes-Maybach EQS are dual electric motors with 658 Hp of power and 950 Nm of torque. The EQS SUV comes with 4Matic all-wheel drive as standard and is capable of sprinting from 0-100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds. The electric vehicle is also capable of achieving a top speed of 210 kmph. Also the brand claims that the Mercedes-Maybach EQS will return a WLTP range of 611 km on a single charge. Charging the EQS 680 will require 31 minutes on a 200kW fast charger and a range of 300 km can be achieved in just 20 minutes of charging.
