The leading luxury car manufacturer here in India, Mercedes-Benz marked history with a new milestone of rolling out the 1,00,000th Mercedes-Benz car for the Indian market. This landmark car was an E-Class sedan and was rolled out from the brands production facility at Chakan near Pune.
Mercedes-Benz began their journey in India 24 years back, and have been a trusted luxury car brand in our market. It was in 1994 when Mercedes-Benz entered India with the W 124 E-Class. Back then, this car was rolled out of the German brands plant at Pimpri in Pune. With more than 1,000 crore rupees invested in their new production facility spread over 100 acres, Mercedes-Benz India depends highly on CKD assembly of their cars in India.
Also, Mercedes-Benz has the largest spare part warehouse in our country which can stock up to 44,000 parts.
