Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz, at the Auto Expo 2020, launched the V-Class Marco Polo in two Variants V-Class Marco Polo and the Marco Polo Horizon. The V-Class Marco Polo Horizon price starts at INR 1.38 crore ex-showroom and the V-Class Marco Polo price starts at INR 1.46 crore ex-showroom. The bookings for both the V-Class Marco Polo Horizon and the V-Class Marco Polo are now open.
With the V-Class Marco Polo Mercedes-Benz aims to introduce its customers to the world of luxurious adventure. According to the brand, the V-Class Marco Polo is suitable for everyday urban motoring, long journeys as well as sustainable outdoors adventure. The V-Class Marco Polo will set new standards in the compact camper segment.
The V-Class Marco Polo features a pop-up roof, an extendable awning that provides shade at the camping site when you sit at a camping table with foldable chairs. The V-Class Marco Polo is fully equipped for boondocking and is self sufficient for 4 people. The seats can fold into a bed which can sleep two people and two people can sleep on the full size bed in the electric pop-up roof. The V-Class Marco Polo comes with a kitchenette with two burner gas hobs, a sink, a 40-litre capacity internal compressor refrigerator, table integrated into cupboard, a 38-litre fresh water tank, a 40-litre waste water tank, exterior connection for 230V socket, USB, lockable fresh water filler, blinds and curtains for shade and privacy, large drawers with self closing features, various stowage options etc. The driver and passenger seat also get a swivel feature and though the V-Class Marco Polo comes with 4 seats as standard it can be extended to up to 6 seats.
In the engine department, the V-Class Marco Polo comes with a BS6 compliant 1950cc diesel engine that generates 163 HP of power and 380 Nm of torque. This engine powers both the V-Class Marco Polo and the Marco Polo Horizon.
Safety features include window airbags, thorax-pelvis side airbags for the driver and front passenger. It also features LED intelligent lights, 360-degree camera, agility control, attention assist, Mercedes ME Connect services and more.
