Mercedes-Benz has introduced a more luxurious variant of their V-Class in India owing to good customer response. The German luxury car brand has revealed that they have triple digit sales for this luxury MPV in India, and hence, based on customer demand, they have launched the V-Class Elite in India. The more luxurious 6-seater V-Class Elite has been priced at INR 1.10 crore ex-showroom and co-exists with the other 2 variants priced significantly cheaper.
Powering the V-Class is a 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine which is now BSVI compliant. This 1,950cc, OM654 series diesel engine is now lighter by 17% and produces 163 HP of power and 380 Nm of torque matched to a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. Although a big boxy luxury MPV, the V-Class Elite can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 11.1 seconds.
Highlights of the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class Elite MPV include luxury leather upholstery seats with electric adjustment, heating and ventilation on the seats, seat massage, centre console which gets refrigerated sections, Burmester sound system as standard, optional Panoramic sunroof, 18″ alloy wheels as an option and 17″ as standard, Agility control suspension with adaptive / selective damping, easy pack tailgate which allows only the rear glass to pop open, ambient lights, 360-degree camera support and active park assist, electric sliding doors with soft-close mechanism and a few more standard accessories.
Mercedes-Benz will offer the V-Class Elite V220d variant in a new shade of blue and 2 new grey colours apart from the previous 4 colour options. The V-Class Elite will only be sold as a 6-seater luxury MPV. This car is Made-in-Spain, hence the higher price tag.
Mercedes-Benz is offering the Star Ease package for easy maintenance of this car which starts from INR 1.09 lakh for 2 years / 30,000 km. The V-Class Elite promises to deliver the best of comfort in any luxury car sold in India, along with being safer, and still very much desirable.
