Mercedes-Benz has launched the refreshed GLC SUV in India in 2 variants. The GLC 200 4MATIC has been priced at INR 52.75 lakh ex-showroom while the GLC 220d 4MATIC has been priced at INR 57.75 lakh ex-showroom. Mercedes-Benz has also announced the Star Ease maintenance package for this SUV which starts at INR 66,100 for 2 years / unlimited km for the GLC 200 and INR 75,900 for the GLC 220d for 2 year / unlimited km. The new Mercedes-Benz GLC comes with BS6 compliant engines and is the first car from the German luxury car brand to come with the NTG 6 telematics solutions. The updated Mercedes-Benz GLC also comes with the latest MBUX multimedia system with touch controls and AI based voice commands. The new GLC is also the first locally built Mercedes-Benz model to get Active Braking Assist.
Powering the GLC 200 4MATIC is a 2.0L, M264 series 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 197 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque. This motor allows the GLC to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.8 seconds and deliver a mileage of 7.1L – 7.4L / 100 km. Powering the GLC 220 d 4MATIC is the OM654 series motor which replaces the OM651 unit and it is a 2.0L motor producing 194 HP of power and 400 Nm of torque allowing the GLC to sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds and has a mileage claim of 5.2L – 5.5L / 100 km.
Changes to the new Mercedes-Benz GLC includes Active Braking Assist, 64 colour ambient lighting, new steering wheel design with feather touch controls, new walnut shade wooden trim, front cabin gets wireless charging for smartphones, Midline audio system, new LED headlights as standard equipment, new chrome accents, new LED tail lamps, new bumper designs, new exhaust tips, new alloy wheel design and more…
